1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Georgia Hero ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Georgia Hero is a referral platform that connects children under 21 enrolled in Georgia Medicaid with clinical care providers. Registered users ("Referrers") submit referral information through the platform and may earn compensation for approved referrals.

3. HIPAA Compliance & Protected Health Information

The Service collects and processes Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). By using this Service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • You will only submit patient information with proper authorization.
  • You will not share, copy, or distribute any patient data obtained through the platform.
  • You will immediately report any suspected data breach or unauthorized access.
  • You understand that misuse of PHI may result in account termination and legal action.

4. Referral Compensation

Referrers may earn $200 for each referral that is clinically approved and reaches "Approved" status. Payment is processed externally and tracked within the platform. Georgia Hero reserves the right to modify compensation amounts with notice.

5. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and truthful referral information.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Comply with all applicable federal and state regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Not submit fraudulent, duplicate, or misleading referrals.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, access controls, and audit logging to protect all data processed through the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling practices.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any conduct that compromises patient privacy or the integrity of the Service.
